It is really an annoying thing to have the cell phone stolen. Apart from the property loss, the loss of the important contact numbers has always been a headache to the owners. Thus here I’d like to talk about the effective ways to solve the problem through one of my own experiences.
It was a Samsung mobile phone which I have owned for less than a month. One of my roommates was kind enough to send me a cell phone ornament as a present. Though I was not very fond of it, taking such a show of hospitality into consideration, I hung it on my phone. It had never occurred to me that this little ornament finally turned to be at the bottom of all these troubles.
This is how the thing happened. It is a Saturday, My roommates and I decided to go window-shopping. I only stuffed some money and the cell phone into my pockets for the sake of convenience. Everything is OK on our way to the mall. While when we set out on our return to the campus, it just happened that the traffic was really bad at peak hours. The bus we are supposed to take became abnormally congested. I got on the bus from the front door. By the time the door was opened, the crowd had already filled the entrance, I didn’t mean to get involved into this, but I was pushed into the bus involuntarily. After getting on the bus, I was about to breathe a sigh of relief, suddenly a species of uneasiness upwelled in my mind. Then I touched my pocket instantly and found my cell phone had gone. Just at that time, I noticed that the man who shouldered me aside when I was getting on the bus hurried off the bus before it left. Oh no, I thought, today was doomed to be my unlucky day!
All is over when I came to realize what had happened to me. Basically no way can be helping. The only thing I can do is to draw some useful lessons from this harsh experience:
1. Never hang any ornament on your cell phone. Otherwise, one of the roles it plays is a helper of the thieves.
2. Be watchful and alert in special when you are in some crowded place, such as the shopping mall, the bus stop and so on.
3. Listen to the songs on your phone when you are on the bus. By doing this can you keep yourself be informed of your cell phone’s state. Especially when there are many people crowded on the bus, you will have no time to attend to you phone since your whole attention may be centered on how to hold the handle and keep balance during the bumpy ride.
4. The most dangerous time is the on and off time. And this is attributed to the big and indistinguishable movements right now. And even you have noticed them, it will be too late to trace the whereabouts of the missing thieves.
